Hands-on evidenceTested August 2026

What we actually tested

HeyGen gave us the quickest route from the dashboard into an avatar-video project. The creation screen puts the presenter and script at the center, which suits short explainers and onboarding messages where speed matters more than granular editing.

Scope: Public and enterprise pricing pages, signed-in dashboard, AI creation page, and a short generated sample.

What we observed

  • The dashboard makes common creation paths prominent.
  • The editor is approachable for a first-time user and keeps the avatar visible while scripting.
  • The workflow is strongest for concise presenter-led videos rather than complex training interactions.

Test limitations

  • We did not test custom avatars, voice cloning, translation accuracy, enterprise controls, or API integrations.
  • Our sample was short and does not establish consistency across languages or longer projects.
  • Feature credits and plan names can change; verify the live pricing page.
